A soft sweatshirt in deep red speckled heather was a sweet surprise sent to me by Alexandra Verschueren. I’ve been pairing the sweatshirt with a pair of my favorite black trousers and sharp oxblood colored heels. I love how adding a sweatshirt always makes any outfit dressed up or down at ease and I am particularly honored to have this one by Alexandra.
Alexandra Verschueren is a Belgian Fashion Designer based in Antwerp, who recently began launching her own collections a few years ago after winning the coveted Grand Prix du Jury prize at the Festival d’Hyères from a panel of judges that included Dries Van Noten. Her recent Spring Summer 2013 collection “Vacuum” I really connected with after seeing her lookbook images - a fresh promise of re-worked classics imagined for a girl who is as effortless drinking coffee in a button down as she is in a sheer purple dress that looks like piece of beautiful crumpled paper.
