Never one to compliment loosely and coming from a guy who has over 40 stamps in his passport from working with traveling photographers over the years, Andrew kept on telling me, Tulum is the best. It’s his favorite place - he had been there at times for as long as three weeks and over six times last year. Now that he’s been on his own schedule shooting independently, he wanted to take me to Mexico to see for myself. Well, if you insist.
Tulum went beyond my expectations, a glimmer of just how beautiful it is I am hoping shines through in the pictures I took. Only the first half, I am still sorting through all of the photos between two film cameras, my digital pocket travel camera and my iPhone. Though I have yet to wash some of the t-shirts I wore out there– I love the caught smell from the ocean especially mixed with the Rosas Frescas perfume I picked up from the Coqui Coqui perfumery. Andrew had brought me back Maderas oil and candles from his previous trips, so it was fun picking out my own and remembering the trip by these new scents. We didn't stay at Coqui, we stayed at a wonderful boutique hotel that Andrew’s friend in Tulum at Cocoshoot Production recommended to us. We definitely plan on staying in the same room again. I know there will be a next time.
