Super Nana* was born out of an endless summer and a mutual love for travel. Not only defined as a physical far off place, the trip can purely be in your mind. To that place with cool surfer mornings where you let loose and try something out of your element. This is a fun little reminder.
Lizzie and Kathryn have recently expanded their line to include leather goods, which I was very excited to collaborate on. I illustrated the textile designs above, then Lizzie sent them off to be hand embroidered and beaded on looms in India. Back in NYC, Lizzie worked her magic, combining the panels with Italian leather and transforming them into a series of clutches and totes.
The collaboration also set in motion the first set of my prints that will be available for purchase. The original watercolor lip and banana illustrations have been pressed on 310 gsm 13x19 mould made antique German watercolor paper. The prints have been available to buyers during this market week and will be in stores along with the clutches this Spring.
